I’m excited to be writing the first post introducing our app to the writing community.
Update April 2018: Fictionary was launched in the summer of 2017 and is now available.
Fictionary helps fiction writers turn a first draft into a great story by providing a new, automated approach to rewriting fiction.
With Fictionary, writers can quickly evaluate their own work and complete a comprehensive, structural rewrite.
If you’re reading this, I’m guessing you’re a writer. We’re writers too. Fictionary is being developed by fiction writers for fiction writers.
Fictionary will guide you through a scene-by-scene evaluation of the key elements of fiction for plot, character, and setting. With rewrite tips for each element, such as point-of-view, you’ll learn to rewrite better fiction.
Fictionary automatically tracks rewriting progress and helps you visualize the story’s big picture to ensure it all makes sense.
You’ll be confident your story is ready to share after finishing your rewrite and save money by submitting better fiction to an editor.
I’d love it if you would join the Fictionary rewriting community and share your thoughts with us. Sign up for early access to Feedback in the sidebar to the right, and I’ll soon be sending you rewrite tips that will be included in Fictionary when we launch the app.
